Nehru Institute of Health Sciences Coimbatore organized a Pongal Celebration on 6th January 2025 with great enthusiasm and traditional fervor. The event began with a warm welcome by our beloved Principal Mam Dr.T. Dhanalakshmi, followed by the preparation of the traditional Pongal dish, symbolizing gratitude for a bountiful harvest. Students and faculty dressed in traditional attire, adding to the festive spirit. Dr P Krishnakumar CEO and Secretory, Nehru group of Institutions Dr Chaitanya Krishnakumar, Correspondent, NIS & NKA, Dr H N Nagaraja, Executive director , NGI visited our college and honored our auspicious day. Cultural performances, including folk dances, music, and Rangoli competitions, showcased the rich heritage of Tamil culture. Traditional games like Kolam competitions were also organized, engaging participants in fun-filled activities. A special address highlighted the significance of Pongal and the importance of farmers in our society.The event concluded with a joyous sharing of Pongal, fostering unity and cultural appreciation among everyone present.
