Yoga aims to bring harmony by fusing the body and the Yoga is one of the most beneficial activities an individual can add to their lifestyle. It is an excellent activity for the healthy body and mind. Nehru institute of Health sciences has conducted International Yoga Day Celebration. The event took place on 19.6.2025 during 9.30. A.M. - 11.30. A.M. at Abdul Kalam Block, Nethaji Hall. Mr.Mr. Karthick, Yoga Instructor, Nehru Arts and Science College, coimbatore. He demosnstrate yoga asans to the students. 90 number of students actively participated in this event and benefitted out of it. Outcome of the Program: This day serves as a platform to encourage individuals to incorporate yoga into their daily lives, promoting healthier lifestyle choices and a connection with nature. Yoga improves focus, concentration, and self-discipline, which are essential for academic success. It also helps reduce stress and anxiety, creating a more positive and harmonious learning environment. Celebrating international Yoga Day for students is crucial because it promotes holistic well-being by enhancing their physical, mental, and emotional health. After celebrating Yoga day, we introduced a daily 15-minute morning yoga session before classes begin. This has become one of our best practices.
